Ceramic and Porcelain Tile

Back in the 4th millennium BC ceramic tile was invented by the Egyptians.  Which they used blue tile brick to decorate their homes. For more info about the history of Egyptian tile click here. Ceramic tile consists of sand, water, and natural clay. Which goes in a mixer till its damp and lumpy. Next its poured in a square or rectangle mold. After it settles in the mold it is placed in a kiln. The kiln bakes the mixture till it dries out the mixture, and hardens. Porcelain tile is denser and more durable than ceramic. The porcelain mold is heated at a higher temperature.
